For me, Alaska has become a new destination. Up until a few years ago, Maine was my annual getaway destination to clear my head and get inspired and refocused on my work. But when you marry an Alaska girl, I guess you have no choice but to make a yearly trip to Alaska… Oh the sacrifices we make for those we love 😉 All kidding aside, Alaska has become a new inspiration for me and since our first trip I’ve already worked on developing some new painting ideas. About fifteen years ago I even did my very first plein air painting there and climbed a glacier in the Wrangell Mountains. So I’ve always had a great love for Alaska. We’ve even researched and discussed the possibility of some day spending our summers there and possibly opening a gallery, but for now, our most recent trip was to take the twins to meet their grandparents.
